 The SAHYA College Union Inauguration was conducted with great enthusiasm on **14th November at MEACT B.Ed College, Ayur. The programme marked the commencement of a new academic year filled with leadership, creativity, and collective responsibility among student teachers. The union was formally inaugurated by the renowned dancer Deva Lakshmi , who honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest.  Eatopia – A Fest of Flavours and Creativity As part of the B.Ed curriculum, a lively Food Fest titled “Eatopia” was successfully organized on 11th November at MEACT B.Ed College, Ayur. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Sai Miss, whose careful planning and guidance ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The Food Fest was formally inaugurated by our respected Principal, Santhosh Sir, who appreciated the initiative taken by the student teachers and encouraged such innovative and experiential learning activities. A total of nine teams participated enthusiastically in the fest. Each team set up food stalls based on unique themes, presenting a wide variety of dishes. The stalls were attractively decorated, highlighting the creativity, teamwork, and artistic skills of the students.   Eco-Friendly Practice – Caring for Nature, Shaping the Future As a part of the B.Ed curriculum, an Eco-Friendly Practice programme was organized on 7th November at MEACT B.Ed College, Ayur. The programme was effectively coordinated by Parvathy Miss, whose guidance and initiative motivated the student teachers to take active part in activities related to environmental conservation. The primary aim of the programme was to create awareness about environmental protection and to encourage sustainable practices among student teachers. As part of the programme, students actively participated in planting saplings throughout the campus and cleaning the college premises, contributing to a clean, green, and eco-friendly environment.   Celebrating Kerala Piravi: Honouring the Spirit of God’s Own Country Kerala Piravi is observed every year on 1st November to commemorate the formation of the state of Kerala. In 2025, since 1st November fell on a holiday, the celebration was held on 4th November at our college. The event was organized by the Malayalam Department under the guidance and coordination of Parvathy Miss. All the student teachers took part in the celebration with great enthusiasm by dressing in traditional Kerala sarees, which enhanced the beauty and cultural richness of the programme. The main objective of the event was to celebrate and promote Kerala’s unique culture, language, and traditions. A variety of cultural programmes were presented, including Malayali Manka and Malayali Sreeman competitions, story passing, songs, and dub show performances. The programme aimed to help the freshers feel relaxed, confident, and at home in the new academic settings. The event was lively and full of enthusiasm. The seniors arranged a variety of fun-filled and interactive activities that kept everyone engaged. These activities helped us overcome hesitation, encouraged active participation, and fostered a friendly and cheerful environment.
