Sub-District Science Exhibition: A Learning Experience as Volunteers

The Sub-District Science Exhibition was successfully conducted on 9th and 10th October at MG HSS Chadayamangalam and Government UPS Chadayamangalam. The exhibition brought together young minds from various schools, showcasing innovative science projects and creative ideas.

From our college, first-year students were selected as volunteers for this exhibition. Being part of the event as volunteers gave us a valuable opportunity to contribute to an academic programme beyond the classroom. Our responsibilities included guiding participants, helping judges and teachers, arranging exhibits, and ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.

The exhibition displayed a wide range of science models related to environmental conservation, technology, health, and everyday scientific applications. Interacting with school students and listening to their explanations helped us understand how creativity and scientific thinking can begin at a very young age.

Volunteering at the science exhibition was not just about managing tasks; it was a learning experience. It helped us develop teamwork, communication skills, leadership qualities, and a sense of responsibility. The enthusiasm of the participants and the dedication of the teachers made the event lively and inspiring.
