Wings of Peace: Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki – A Tribute by Manjappara B.Ed. College Students
Today, on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day, we at Manjappara B.Ed. College came together to honour the memory of those affected by one of the darkest chapters in human history. Through a heartfelt program, we reflected on the devastating impact of nuclear warfare and the enduring message of peace it left behind.
As part of our observance, we created an informative poster to spread awareness about the tragic events of August 6 and 9, 1945. We also folded origami cranes, inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki, as symbols of hope, healing, and peace.
Conducted an engaging quiz competition to help students reflect on the history and importance of this day.
This small gesture was our way of reminding the world that the horrors of war must never be repeated. May our voices, like the wings of the paper cranes, carry the message of peace far and wide. This remembrance reminded us of the importance of peace, empathy, and collective responsibility in building a better world. May our efforts be a step towards a future without war.
