π June 5, 2026
On 5 June 2026, as part of the EDU 06 – Education in Indian Society course, a Capacity Building Programme on the Right to Education (RTE) was conducted at M.V.H.S.S. The programme aimed to sensitise students to the importance of education as a fundamental right and to promote awareness of the provisions of the Right to Education Act.
The programme was collaboratively organised by three groups of B.Ed trainees, each adopting a different approach to communicate the theme. The first group delivered an engaging presentation that provided an overview of the Right to Education Act, its objectives, and its relevance in ensuring educational opportunities for all children.
The second group used audio-visual media by screening the short film "The Student." The film effectively portrayed the transformative power of education and reinforced the idea that every child has the right to quality learning experiences.
The third group adopted a creative mode of presentation through placards and slogans carrying powerful messages related to the Right to Education. Their efforts successfully captured the attention of the audience and encouraged reflection on the importance of safeguarding children's educational rights.
The programme emerged as a meaningful educational initiative that combined information, creativity, and active participation. It enhanced awareness about the Right to Education and emphasised the collective responsibility of society in ensuring accessible and inclusive education for every child.
