MY SEVENTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE 🏫✨

MY SEVENTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE 🏫✨

August 17–21, 2026 πŸ—“️

A Week of Responsibility, Teamwork, and Onam Celebrations πŸŒΌπŸŽ‰

The seventh week of my teaching practice at GSSS Yeroor was a memorable experience filled with responsibilities, cooperation, and festive joy. Throughout the week, the students were engaged in their examinations, and we, the B.Ed. teacher trainees, actively assisted the teachers in carrying out various examination-related duties. Although regular classroom teaching was temporarily replaced by examination activities, the week provided valuable opportunities to understand the administrative responsibilities of a teacher and participate in the smooth functioning of the school. πŸ“πŸ€

On August 17, the examinations continued as scheduled. We assisted the teachers by collecting and distributing additional answer sheets, arranging the required examination materials, and ensuring that the necessary materials reached the appropriate sections, including the Upper Primary (UP) section. We also collected examination papers and other materials from the classrooms and organised them properly. These responsibilities required careful attention, cooperation, and punctuality. Working together with the teachers helped us understand the importance of proper coordination and organisation during examination periods. πŸ“‹πŸ“‘

Throughout the week, from August 17 to August 21, we continued assisting with examination-related activities. We collected answer scripts and other examination materials from the examination halls and supported the teachers in completing their assigned duties. We also helped maintain the systematic arrangement of examination materials and assisted wherever necessary. These experiences gave me a better understanding of the responsibilities involved in conducting examinations and maintaining the academic records of students. I realised that the smooth conduct of examinations depends not only on the efforts of teachers but also on teamwork, discipline, and careful planning. πŸ‘₯πŸ“¦

August 21 was particularly special because the school organised its Onam celebration before closing for the Onam holidays. The atmosphere was filled with happiness, excitement, and the spirit of togetherness. We, the B.Ed. teacher trainees, enthusiastically participated in the celebration alongside the teachers and students. The programme featured various cultural activities, including songs, dances, and other performances that reflected the beauty and richness of Kerala's traditional festival. The cheerful atmosphere made the day truly enjoyable, and being part of the celebration helped me feel more connected to the school community. 🌺🎢

One of the most memorable parts of the celebration was the Onam Sadhya. We actively participated in serving the Sadhya to the students, which gave us an opportunity to contribute to the successful conduct of the programme. Serving food and working together with fellow trainees and teachers created a wonderful sense of unity and cooperation. The experience reminded me that school life extends beyond academics and examinations. Cultural celebrations provide valuable opportunities to promote friendship, teamwork, cultural appreciation, and a sense of belonging among students and teachers. πŸ›πŸ’›

Overall, the seventh week of my teaching practice was a beautiful combination of responsibility and celebration. Assisting with examination duties helped me develop organisational skills, punctuality, and a stronger sense of responsibility, while the Onam celebration gave me cherished memories of participating in the cultural life of the school. I felt happy and grateful to be part of such a warm and welcoming school community. This week taught me that the teaching profession involves not only educating students but also supporting school activities, preserving cultural traditions, and creating meaningful experiences for the entire school community. The Onam celebration was a delightful way to conclude the week before the holidays, leaving me with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation of school life. 🌟🌾
